Rachel is Recruited!
Amelia from Pathways seeks out Rachel and gets more than she bargained for!
I have a real article about important things for tomorrow, but for today… I don’t usually reproduce my Roanoke Glass articles here, but…
Recently, the British government decided that the best way to keep youths away from ideas they did not like was to let them play a video game where, if they talked to the wrong people or engaged with the wrong ideas, they would end up in counseling or arrested.
And if they did not engage, nothing whatsoever happened in this game.
In order to make certain that the young men did not engage with ideas such as “Migrants are taking money away from veterans,” they designed the character who said these things to be everything they thought right-leaning young men would hate: a purple-haired goth girl (what the British call a “art hoe”) named Amelia. You can see Charlie and Amelia below:
In the history of backfiring, it is possible that nothing has ever backfired as badly as this. Amelia became an internet meme sensation.
Now people are making memes, videos, songs, etc. Amelia is popping up everywhere! One of the best ones can be seen here.
Enter @Huff4Congress and his Grok Imagine Amelia videos.
If you click on the video, it should take you to X. If you don’t have X, here’s the same one on YouTube.
Then came a second video in which Amelia recruits fictional British characters. She talks to Aragorn, Bond, Cami from Streetfighter, a guy I don’t recognize, The Order of the Phoenix, Lara Croft, a video guy I don’t recognize, John Constantine, and Judge Dredd. Elsewhere, she talks to Harry Potter. It is very charming:
So, even though I am a total newbie when it comes to video-creation, I found out what they did and did…this!
Enjoy!
She’s even been seen with PWB (the purple Purloined Water Bottle) (Okay, that’s purple paint for spraying the A symbol, not purple water bottles, but we can dream.)
And after seeing this, I am certain Gaius is going to call someone a gormless muppet.
Oh, and I may have done this. :-P

Thanks for showing this. I was curious what this lavender-haired girl was all about that I have been seeing for the past week, maybe longer.
