If you look on YouTube, you can see people playing the actual pathways game she comes from.
One of them is Carl Benjamin, who's English and gives a little insight into some of the things going on in the government there. But there's a lot of people who have made these videos.
The UK government has a program to turn children from extremism.
They came up with a really stupid game, with bad graphics and extreme cut-scene incompetence, to mold them into unthinking idiots. For instance, if you make the wrong choice, the game may decree you start spewing racist insults at your classmates. Going to a demonstration may get you in trouble with the police. And one of the wrong choices is *attempting to research* an assertion that immigrants are taking priority over veterans for housing.
There's a purple-haired girl named Amelia who may corrupt your character by expressing extremist views -- that are widely held in the UK but would lead to voting against those in power -- in it.
The game is frequently so overloaded by attempts to play it that it loads forever -- you may run across claims that it's down because of that -- and has certainly been censored. For instance, there was an ending where you rejected the attempts to guide you away, and Amelia sympathized, and you got into trouble.
Though, of course, the genuine article original game stuff can be hard to pick out among the "happy endings" or comic "unhappy endings" that have ensued from her going viral.
Hormones and time change things. I was a red-head as a kid, then dishwater-blond, now dirty-blond as an old man. Except for some white here and there, my wife's has been Hungarian black all her life; came back very curly/wavy after her first chemo, though.
My dark-haired friends and I all had blond kids. Bright, light blond.
None of them are blond today. ;-)
I have heard that the place in the world that uses the most blond hair dye is Scandinavia...where many of them are light blond until their twenties...and they want to stay that way.
I'm aware. I don't lean on my cover designer any more than I do on my contributors. I assume during the counterrevolutionary battles, his hair turned white from what he had to see. Given she shades her hair, Amelia suggested blond. Given their kids hair, I'm guessing that her natural color.
Thanks for showing this. I was curious what this lavender-haired girl was all about that I have been seeing for the past week, maybe longer.

The funniest part is: if you don't engage with Amelia...nothing whatsoever seems to happen.
Wait until you see what we have coming, including LJLW.

Squee!
(Though, really, shouldn't Charlie have dark hair? She has to marry Charlie.)
Yes. Charlie has black hair, and she should marry him. (Charlie is my darling.)
That some of the AI videos make Charlie look a little bit like a young Charlie Kirk.

Lol
Future dark-haired kids being blond is a thing. (Happened to mine when they were young.)
But I do suspect I won't be the only person who wonders about it. :-)
Your substack is like an archeological dig in the Middle East: treasures at every level.
lol Thanks!
